A TALE ABOUT THE WITCH
A series of illustrations and sculptures exhibited in Prague in 2024.
Once upon a time, in a deep, dark forest, among smelly swamps and mushy mushrooms, lived a Witch. The Witch was not young, but not old either. She was not beautiful, yet not ugly. What she was is lonely.
Every morning, she woke up before the night fog had disappeared, took her big bag, put on her old hat, and went out to collect frogs.
She collected a dozen frogs every day, put them in cages, and locked the cages with large, unbreakable locks.
In the evenings—when the night fog started crawling on the ground again—she took the frogs out, one by one, and carried them to her laboratory to experiment.
She was looking for a prince.
For many days and nights, she tried to find true love. She kissed the frogs, painted them with magic paint, and even sprinkled them with love potions. Nothing seemed to work.
Until one day, something extraordinary happened…
